Our water heaters meet the stringent quality demands of Goode Plumbing. After we test different models in our shop, we test them in our own homes. We would rather take a cold shower if needed to come to the right choice rather than risk our clients taking one! After much testing, we have chosen brands that are more efficient, more reliable, and longer lasting than the competition. That is still not enough! We make changes of our own to further improve them so that you get the best installation possible.
Traditional Gas Water Heater Installation
Goode Plumbing has been using Bradford White brand water heaters for over a decade with excellent results. We chose the Bradford White brand after testing numerous other makes. The Bradford White brand has proven to be an excellent quality product, with a great reliability record. These are the only water heaters manufactured and assembled in the United States (some other brands are simply assembled in the USA), and the company is a co-op, so the employees have a real reason to do a fantastic job building these water heaters. In addition, we use a brass fitting package on the inlet and outlet of the water heater, as opposed to the much more commonly used dielectric unions. Our fitting package provides vastly superior protection against electrolysis corrosion. We also replace the factory drain valve with our full port drain valve, which allows for much more complete removal of sediment during maintenance flushing (something we recommend annually). We ensure the correct sizing and installation of your water heater, offering options such as an expansion tank, tempering valve, safety pan, heater stand, and more.
Electric Water Heater Installation
Electric water heaters are not normally used in Chicago but there are a few valid reasons to get an electric water heater installed. If there is already an electric water heater installed there would no need to have a gas line run and a vent installed by saying with an electric water heater.
Our traditional storage water heaters are available in atmospheric venting type as well as high-efficiency power vent models, depending on your application. We offer great protection on these heaters, with a labor warranty that matches the parts warranty!
